Product Overview

The 2GIG Edge Backup Battery comes included with the 2GIG Edge Alarm System. Its job is to keep the 2GIG Edge running in the event of AC power loss. This could be due to an electrical outage or the plug-in transformer becoming disconnected. The 2GIG Edge Battery plugs into a panel port. The 2GIG Edge Backup Battery can keep the 2GIG Edge System operational for at least 24 hours. Users who may experience an outage longer than that should consider investing in a power generator or other type of backup power for emergency situations.
