Arlington's non-conductive box extenders extend set back metal or non-metallic electrical boxes up to 1-1/2 inches, the easy way!
They work with any single gang device and most steel and non-metallic outlet boxes, and provide a level, fully supported wiring device that's flush with the wall surface. In steel boxes they prevent arcing and shorting by creating a barrier between the box and device screws.
Our newest box extender, the BE1X, has a slightly larger flange that provides extra device support when the wall opening is miscut or oversized. It accommodates midi or maxi cover plates and costs the same as our 'regular' single gang BE1. If you normally use a midi plate this is the box extender for you!
