Valcom IP systems can be as simple as an IP speaker accessed directly from an IP phone system or as complex as a multisite emergency mass notification system with 1000s of IP speakers, horns, LED signage, email alerts, PC screen alerts and strobes. Most systems are accessed by Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and/or FXO ports, have integration to a small number of analog systems or speakers, have switch inputs to activate emergency messages, and have relays to interface with access control systems or other non-Valcom systems. Other very common features include bell schedules, pre-recorded audio messages, email alerts and a GUI control/management interface. The IP6K Headend Package is a perfect starting point for most systems as it provides all these most common features in a convenient 19'' (48.26 cm) 3 rack unit package. Additional gateways, IP speakers, clocks and IP LED signs may be added to your Valcom system as required for your specific application.
