The Sentinel Area of Refuge System is designed to provide fully supervised, full duplex voice communication, between each Call Station (4800VS) and the Base Station(s) A-4800BS through the Main System (CM-4800S). An internal modem, connected to a telephone line (VoIP, POTS, or SIP) provides an automated-timed dial-out capability to a central monitoring location (not provided). For extra security and protection, Base Stations can be mounted in an enclosure (BB-48S). Enclosure comes as flush mount but can be semi-flush mounted with trim ring (BB-48TS).
Operation: When a call is initiated from a Call Station (4800VS), this initiates a call at the Base Station through the Main System (CM-4800S). A ringtone sound will initiate and a detailed description of where the call is coming from will be displayed on the Base Station screen. Optionally, certain fault conditions can be programmed to initiate a call at the Base Station(s) with a message detailing the fault cause and origin. Simply pickup the handset at any Base Station phone to answer an incoming call from the system.
Mounting: The Base Station (A-4800BS) can be mounted inside a separately ordered surface wall enclosure (BB-48S). This enclosure can be semi-flush (using BB-48TS). The enclosure's dimensions are (14"W x 11"H x 5"D) and includes a locking hinged Door and view window to monitor incoming system calls and faults. The A-4800BS base station can also be desk mounted with no additional hardware required.
